Blacklight Photography…

An opportunity to explore a genre I’ve never worked in, blacklight photography, presented itself recently. One of my Oregon clients manufactures fishing lures that he designed fishing the Columbia & Willamette Rivers. He’s using a new plastic that responds to blacklight and asked me to shoot it showing the awesome colors. Sure, I said, no problem. Then I hit the web to do some “blacklight photography” research! You’d not believe what’s out there regarding the subject. One of the most unbelievable was this website. I’d definitely like to spend more time going down this rabbit hole!

Sarah & Dallas…

My good friends Sarah & Dallas got married last weekend out at the Grand Lodge in Forest Grove and I got to shoot the day! Very well-planned and choreographed, the day went smoothly and their song list was incredible. They are both fabulous dancers and when they hit the floor for their first song, Leonard Cohen’s “Dance Me To The End of Love” it was an emotional high and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! All the best, you two!

A Toast…

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a month since I last posted. Between Rogue River trips, family visits, weddings and reunions, and trying to sneak in some mid-week Oregon camping and exploring, it’s been an incredibly full summer. With working and playing so hard, it’s a constant struggle to remember to smell the flowers, or in this case, the champagne, along the way. So here’s a toast to all my loyal readers, thanks for your comments, I’m back!
