
My client needed a great shot to submit for a housing design competition and show. Only problem was, the house wasn’t ready due to the cold weather and various construction delays. It was also a muddy worksite in December in Portland, and as you know, not the nicest weather. Yet the deadline loomed. Shot the grass at the park next to my daughter’s school and the bushes came from one of my neighbors front yards, I can’t remember which one. Six layers in Photoshop later, she was pleased with this one.

You couldn’t lay some cement leading up to the steps? What the heck?
No, the designers liked the bark dust, besides the ground was too cold!
Wow — intense! Were there any rules about photoshopping the pic for the contest?
None that I’m aware of. I simply go by what the client requests, assuming they now the parameters.
