Maternity Portraits…

A small genre of photography that the current popularity of may be traced to the August 1991 cover of Vanity Fair, of Demi Moore shot by Annie Leibovitz. Just for fun, I recently attended a seminar that addressed this area of photography and low and behold, not more than a week later, got my first booking. Talk about the universe providing! All images shown below were specifically approved by the client for appearance on this blog.

Alchemy Jewelry by David Iler…

Recent studio shoot of some incredibly beautiful jewelry for an ad in Oregon Brides Magazine. No Brinks guards standing outside the studio door (they acually trust me with this stuff!) but one killer of a deadline. Somehow, when your backs against the wall, the brain clears and the path (read: lighting set-up) just appears! Love getting way down in there in the macro zone, but holy cow, my sensor was filthy getting that close. A quick cleaning and I was good to go! Find out more about Alchemy Jewelry here.

Portland Rose Festival Princesses…

Shot this Pro Bono assignment for the Portland Rose Festival as “thank you” cards for the various vendors who supply clothing items for the Princesses to wear at media events and all other official functions. It was really fun to be able to spend a bit of time with them, one-on-one and get a glimse of all their different personalities. We have a lot to be proud of, here in Portland!
