Recent cover shot for an industrial trade magazine story on RFID technology. These guys are standing in a bay doorway that part suppliers drive little carts through (ding-dings, they call them for the sound they make) and the RFID gear reads barcodes from the part bins and keeps an up to the minute inventory. Once I got an idea of what they were looking for, I thought an “X-Files” approach would do the trick. A few blue gels, three Alien Bees and Pocket Wizards did the trick. My whole lighting set-up is given away in the dome mirror on the ceiling.
This tech is really cool and another reason why I love my job-I get to learn about neat stuff like this!

Really love the positioning/shadowing with the writing on the floor. Gives it more interesting depth into what’s going on at the facility. Nice touch.
