A quick phone call and I was booked to shoot Chris & Chris’s Friday night wedding in the Pearl. They were such a cool couple that photographing them was a breeze!
Recent studio shoot of some incredibly beautiful jewelry for an ad in Oregon Brides Magazine. No Brinks guards standing outside the studio door (they acually trust me with this stuff!) but one killer of a deadline. Somehow, when your backs against the wall, the brain clears and the path (read: lighting set-up) just appears! Love getting way down in there in the macro zone, but holy cow, my sensor was filthy getting that close. A quick cleaning and I was good to go! Find out more about Alchemy Jewelry here.
Some recent samples from a wedding here in town. OK day, but a great couple to work with, Michelle & Derek. They were up for anything, with great families and friends. Check out their slideshow here.
A sampling of photographs from my most recent wedding, Chelci & Nick, at the Northstar Ballroom. It’s a really cool location for mixing different lighting styles and spur of the moment decisions: ambient with strobe or just ambient with fill. You eventually figure it out.And yes, that is a wombat, a marsupial, I’m told. (Correction: It’s a Sugar Glider (Petaurus breviceps) a small gliding possum native to eastern and northern mainland Australia) Ranks right up there with the strangest wedding guests I’ve ever photographed!
Great couple, nice friends and an ass-kicking jazz band, what more could you ask for?
Slideshow of a December wedding at Persimmon Country Club in Gresham. Sonja and Nathan, long may you run, you have the coolest friends!
